The Graduation Pledge of Social & Environmental Responsibility

The mission of the Graduation Pledge Alliance (GPA) is to build a global community of responsible graduates improving society and the environment through the workplace. GPA works to help realize a world where every graduate, through the workplace, is an effective leader for social and environmental improvement.

Nearly a hundred colleges and universities are using the Graduation Pledge at some level. Graduates, who voluntarily sign the pledge, have turned down jobs with which they did not feel comfortable and have worked to make changes once on the job. They have promoted recycling at their organizations, removed racist language from a training manual, worked for gender parity in high school athletics, and helped to convince an employer to refuse a chemical weapons-related contract.

To learn more about GPA, see our About Us page or contact gpa@bentley.edu.
