Redstone Public School1

Hello fellow Global Circle friends:

We are one of the grade 8 classes at Redstone Public School located in Richmond Hill, Ontario in Canada.  We are a city north of Toronto.  We are very excited about getting to know you all.  We are thrilled to learn about your different backgrounds and cultures.

There are 30 students in our class out of a school of over 500 students.  Our average age is 13 and we are about to graduate and begin high school.    With our class there is a lot of diversity whether we like different hobbies, practise different religions (Christianity, Judism, Muslim) or cultures or listening to a variety of music.  Our hobbies include soccer, basketball, baseball, reading, video games, and shopping.  Social networking is our favourite.

It is currently winter here in Canada. It is very cold and there is lots of snow.  Winter lasts about 5 months and we can hardly wait for spring.

Our national sport is lacrosse but we seem to like hockey more.  The country is very multicultural but are all free to celebrate our differences.  Yet, we are all proud to be Canadian.

Dear Stephanie and students,

Greeting from Doris in Fenghsin Senior High School! I send our greatest welcome to you all! Just the other days we have read all of your introduction and my students are happy to know that they have partners from Canada! They are very impressive with your muli-cultural learning environment and also show great interest in your high-tech-equipped classroom.

We look forward to working with you soon. In my school we also learn to work with schools around the world!
Please check the website at http://www.fhsh.khc.edu.tw/web/international/default.asp

Best wishes,
Doris
