This year the final year group that has chosen the subject: computer science has been working on project "Green"
The main question is:
How can we use technology to get more "Green" into the classroom and school?
During this project we've been working together with ValueforAll.org. A organization that promotes and supports companies, schools and other organizations in creating a more ecofriendly environment.
We took the following steps during the computer science lessons:
1. Create a tool, solution so we become more aware of the need to save energy, get to know more about CO2 in the classroom, learn about green and the importance of it.
2. Create your creations in an world. Together with ValueForAll we created an online school building on FrancoGrid, where the students tried out in 3d models there solution.
3. Now the biggest step for the students will take place. Not only they need to create it virtually, they need to take the step to make the project work with real sensors and data inside the school building. Next to that a big step lays ahead in creating awareness.
On Twitter you can follow us with the hashtag #valueforall
