Elde Thoughts

Page history last edited by Arie Wels 13 years, 1 month ago

Thoughts from students Elde College about "green" This is not our final question to work on. But "green" for thought that came up this week with the students. Feel free to comment, we would love to learn from others.

Babbe:
- Wouldn't it be an idea to create more windows (maybe even in ceiling) to reduce the use of lights in the room?
- Could we turn off the lights during breaktime?

Lex:
isn't it a good idea to put ivy/creepers at empty walls at all school

Lian:

- Isn't it a good idea to organize every (for example) friday a kind of fancy fair and sell all things that you don't use anymore. Also there can be stands which spread information about ecofriendly schools. Now you raise money in a nice way, and spread infomation about ecofriendly schools.

Huib:
can't we place in every room 1 or 2 plants?

Dorus:
Shouldn't we recycle more waste, because now we don't do this.

Pim:
Should we motivate teachers and students to develop creative and eco-friendly solutions for the energy usage on school? We can build things like windmills etc. to make people more aware of this topic.

Mick:
Wouldn't it be an idea to cover our ceillings with solar panels? In this way we can produce more ecofriendly energy.

Willem:
Our school doesn't have much green like plants inside or decorative nature in the audiotorium. My idea would be to develop a system to water the plants and nutrition them by just one press of a button giving every plant an adapted amount of 'food'.
